MARILYN JOHNSTON (NELSON) June 20, 1936 - June 19, 2014 Predeceased by her best friend and loving husband Ted Johnston. Marilyn left us quite unexpectedly after a brief illness. Marilyn will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to know her as an extremely kind, generous, funny and big-hearted person. To know her was to love her. She was the heart and soul of our family and we will all miss her so terribly. She is also predeceased by her parents Harold and Marguerite Nelson and her brothers Robert and Winston Nelson. Marilyn was a wonderful mother to Laurie (Jamie), Lindy (Brian), Debbie (Brian), Chris (Steve), Jani (Gary) and Cathy (Jason). A loving Grandma and Nanny to Spencer, Patrick, Ian, Lindsey, Renya, Eve, Emma, Carrie, Lee, Tyler, Madison and Kieran. Best friends with her brother and sister-in-law Barry and Sue Nelson and her sister-in-law and her husband Eileen and Peter Barr. Marilyn's favourite thing was to raise a glass of "Pino Greegio", tell stories and laugh with her family and friends. Her "Marilynisms" will live long in family lore. She was truly one of a kind.
