ANDERSON, Robert K. - August 12, 1924 - August 11, 2014 At Humber River Regional Hospital, Toronto our loving father and grandfather Robert Kay Anderson passed away at 3:30 a.m., August 11, 2014. Raised in the Ottawa Valley, our father Bob joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at 18 and served his country in WWII as a Wireless Air Gunner. He married Rose Elizabeth (Betty) White in Kingston, Ontario in 1947 and they soon started their family life in Toronto. Bob soon after graduated from Ryerson University and began a career in the business of sound and sound systems. He got his start in movie theatres, both large and small throughout Ontario. Summers were spent at the cottage on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka. Bob was predeceased by wife Rose Elizabeth (Betty) Anderson (2004), son Brian Michael Anderson (2008), daughter Elizabeth Carol (2009) and Katherine Amanda (1976). He left behind an extensive and loving family in daughter-in-law Debbie, grandchildren Robert and Michael, and great-grandchildren Tayler and Keanu as well as Kadence, grandson Michael Lanzillotta (Kayla) as well as Don, John (Cynthia and sons Charles and Spencer) and Caroline and his granddaughter Jill Razzell, will all sorely miss him. Bob knew that the secret to a long life was to stay active. From the Provincial PC Party, where he volunteered for years, to the New Toronto Lawn Bowling Club and the Westway Probus Club where he had the great fortune of meeting a great friend in Ann Nelles. In lieu of flowers, Bob would be pleased for any contribution to Veterans Affairs Canada or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
