Passed peacefully at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Thomas will be deeply missed by his cherished wife Mary. Loving father of Brendan (Pebbles) and Kelly (Vince). Loving grandfather of Amelie. Thomas is remembered by his siblings in Ireland, Ken (Brid), Nancy (Jim), Geraldine (Michael) and Angela (sister-in-law). Predeceased by his brothers Brendan and Matthew. Thomas was a cherished friend in the Toronto Irish community and a proud member of the Labourers Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 183. Thomas and Mary immigrated to Canada in 1967 from Ireland. He was a proud Canadian and Toronto Maple Leaf fan and worked across Canada on major construction projects. Proud member of Hurling Club Garryowen of the Toronto Gaelic Athletic Association. Friends may call on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas' memory can be made to the Mackenzie Health Palliative Care Unit or Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - Odette Cancer Centre. Condolences may be made at
