Over a lot of years I was privileged to work closely with Mr. Tom'. And what a remarkable family group he was part of--Mr. Lewie, Mr. Ed, Miss Marjorie, Norman, Abbey & my lawyer friend George. Few in this country could have accomplished what they did, and Mr. Tom was the leader at the time of their most significant achievements. And yet, they never strayed far from their Welland upbringing--I still remember how amazed I was at their joy while eating the salad of dandelions, freshly picked by Mr. Lewie, in the tiny lunchroom on Gordon McKay. It was so much better than the best meal they could ever have ordered in a restaurant. I owe them all a lot, but Mr. Tom most of all. I was both shocked and saddened at this news, and he is in my prayers.

I send my sincere condolences to all members of the Leon family and those close to Tom Leon, who cared for and loved him. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Tom taught me how to put the "fun" in fundraising...and has always led by example when it came to philanthropy and giving back to the community. Connie and family, my thoughts are with you. Know Tom has left a remarkable legacy and our country is a better place because of his generosity.
