JAMES FRANCIS COSGROVE February 21, 2010 Born Easter Sunday, April 8, 1928, Dararry County Galway. Beloved husband of Patricia Anne (nee Stonier) of Hanbury, Staffordshire. Married in Toronto, 1955. Father to Peter, John and Paul. Father-in-law of Rosaleen, Monica and Cathy. Grandfather of Emma and Ben, Jennifer and Melanie, Meghan and Kevin. Predeceased by his father John and mother Winnifred, brothers Peter and John and sister Breige Russell. Survived by sisters Nora O'Sullivan, Kathleen Carron and Maureen Spelman. Frank will be missed by his many Irish and English nephews and nieces. Frank will miss the Irish community, the construction community, the Naiscoot River, Sagamore Crescent and all those he worked with across Canada, including the Mid-Canada Line, the D.E.W. Line, Baffin Island and ten seasons in CFB Alert, Ellesmere Island. Thanks to all those who helped and visited Dad and Mom these past months; neighbours, friends and family. After not giving up without a fight, Frank died of complications due to cancer. An admirer of hard work, farming and Irish verse, he was a diesel mechanic and hoisting engineer. A great lover of this country Canada, its history, the high Arctic with their snowy tales, he was a great lover of his family. He lived a great life. Thanks to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, to which donations are welcome. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Butler' Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke, on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
