Constance Weller Obituary

WELLER, Mrs. Constance (nee Willson) - 1919-2010 Peacefully on March 11, 2010 at the age of 90 in the presence of family at Manoir Pierrefonds. Only child of Kate Carter and William Willson. Wife of the late Ronald Weller. She leaves to mourn her children Rita (John), Grant (Doris) and Phillip (Denise). Sadly missed by grandchildren Patrick (Marie), Christopher (Suzanne), Michelle, Kirsten, Nicholas, Jasmine and Jennifer. Also great-grandchildren Emily, Holly, Georgia and Ruby. Constance was a loving and devoted person who had a long and full life. She was born into the privileged life of London's Society which was lost during the Great Depression. Then found happiness singing and dancing on the London stage under the name 'Joy Willson'. Immigrated to Canada with husband Ron and daughter Rita in 1951, commencing a new life with next to nothing and becoming respected members of their church and community in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. She was immensely proud of her British heritage, especially her mother's family's service to the Royal Family and her father's cousin the Lord Earl Haig, Commander of British Forces in WWI. The family would like to thank the loving and dedicated staff of Manoir Pierrefonds who essentially became her family in the last years of her life. The Weller family will receive your condolences on Friday, March 19th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME, 10 Cachet Woods Ct., Markham, Ontario, 905-887-8600. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th, at the Holy Trinity Church, 140 Brooke St., Thornhill, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Online condolences may be placed at www.highlandfuneralhome.ca
