ANNABELLE CASE January 3, 1921 - December 8, 2011 It is with great sadness that the Case family wishes to announce the passing of Annabelle Case (nee Metcalfe) on December 8, 2011, at the age of 90. Annabelle was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and the loving and nurturing centre of the family. She was an extremely kind and generous person, always giving to those less fortunate. She was an avid reader, gardener and sports enthusiast. She lived her life with a simple elegance that we will lovingly remember. Annabelle was predeceased by her husband Robert of 59 years, and will be missed by her 4 daughters and their families; Valerie and Graham Whitehead and their children Colin and Jeff; Loralee Case and Arnie Floyd; Roberta Case and Frank Mihalek and their children Megan and Emily; and Pamela Case and Dan Coletto and their children Katelyn, Olivia and Lucas. Annabelle was the dear sister of Donna Soderquist of North Dakota, Doris Aldous of Calgary, and Fred Metcalfe (deceased) of Victoria. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Country Home Care for being so kind to Annabelle for the short time that she was with them, and also the staff at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness during the last few weeks of her life. Please join us in "A Celebration of Life" for Annabelle on Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at Scarboro Golf and Country Club, 321 Scarborough Golf Club Road, Toronto, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital would be appreciated at www.msh.on.ca (choose the second Donate tab).
