JOSEPH, Hector - Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 8:45 a.m., in his 76th year. Dearly beloved husband of Rita (Kamala) for 40 years. Dearest father of Charmaine (her husband Philip Thayaparan) and Harlan (his wife Anoj Sandrasagara), eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph of Karampon, Sri Lanka, brother of Jessie and her husband Anton Benedict and Anton Joseph and his wife Vasanthi and adoring grandfather of Leann and Aadrien. Fondly cherished by nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and many in the Tamil community. He was a retired Chartered Accountant from U.K. and Canada. Visitation will take place at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St. (south of Steeles Ave.) on March 22 and March 23 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on March 24 at St. Edward the Confessor (75 Churchill Ave.) at 9 a.m. Interment York Cemetery. Dear Kamala Aunty, Charmaine and Harlan, Please accept our condolences. We are very sorry for your loss. I remember Hector uncle when we first came to Canada and you had those nice get together. I remember him being a wonderful humble and quiet man. I was a small boy then, but remember he took the time to chat with me. He was a kind and gentle person and wanted to make sure everyone was looked after. God bless you in coping with this difficult time. Our prayers are with you. Jude & Farin Stanislaus

Hector, Rita and Harlen have been our wonderful neighbours, for the past thirty years. Hector was the nicest most gentle person. He will be greatly missed.
