FARYNIUK, Tarras (Tap) - Beloved husband of Alma Faryniuk passed away peacefully after a full life on September 9, 2012. Tap was in his 91st year and had been married to Alma for 65 years. Loving and proud father to David (Joanne) and Gary (Janice). Gramps/Guido to Matthew, Melissa, Andrea and Julie. Survived by his sister-in-law Yvonne Smith and her sons Paul and Don (Mary). Tap was born in Winnipeg but has resided in Oakville since 1926. He was a Veteran of WWII. He worked with his brother Paul at Oakville Fuels. In his retirement years he was cart jockey at Glen Abbey Golf Course. His next retirement was as a volunteer at Oakville Park's greenhouses. Tap loved life and could not stand to be still. He loved road trips, umpiring baseball, horseracing, golfing and was a master of any card game. His motto was "live now, you may be gone tomorrow". At Tap's request there will be no service; at a later date there will be a private family gathering. If desired, donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation of Canada in Tap's name.
