ANIKO ZEND-GABORI Peacefully at the Kensington Hospice, Toronto on November 1, 2012. Beloved daughter of Ibi Gabori and the late Robert Zend, loving mother of Robert Zend-Gabori, cherished sister of Natalie Zend, Aniko will also be greatly missed by her step- mother Janine Zend, step-son Endre Gabori, her son's father Sandor Gabori and her many devoted friends. Born in Budapest in 1956, Aniko came to Toronto as a babe in arms. A dearly appreciated English teacher at Central Technical School, Aniko was also an enthusiastic entrepreneur, a piano player, a dog and cat lover and a pillar of strength to family and friends with unlimited energy, optimism, empathy and a fantastic sense of humour. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 8th anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. at 82 Hillcrest Dr., Toronto M6G 2E6. A celebration of her life will be held at First Unitarian Church at 175 St. Clair Ave. W. on Saturday, November 10th at 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 a.m., followed by a reception in the church hall and then interment of ashes at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
