MAY, Agnes Joan (nee Vogel, former wife of Ken May) - October 5, 1935 - November 14, 2012 With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Joan May who died suddenly on November 14, 2012 in her 77th year. Loving mother of Brenda, Lorraine, Lisa and Christopher and their spouses Guy, Terry and Domenic. Cherished grandmother to Sarah and Vishnu, Kayla, Alyssa, Philip and Lily and to great-grandsons Kristian and Noah. Predeceased by her brothers Bill and Mike, she will be dearly missed by sister Carol and all who knew her. Joan was warm, friendly and generous and a mother to all who knew her. Joan was the epitome of the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" as she seemed to help raise most of her neighbourhood. Joan was a devoted Toronto sports fan, through the good times and bad, most notably in her love and affection for "her boys", the Toronto Blue Jays. Joan loved Elvis, Sylvester, old movies and was definitely who you wanted on your team for the annual Christmas trivial pursuit game. Friends may call at the "EGLINTON CHAPEL" of the MCDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOMES, 1812 Eglinton Ave. West (at Dufferin St.), 416-782-1197, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Complete Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
