OLGA ELIZABETH REED Olga Reed, 89, of the Beaches area of Toronto, died peacefully in her sleep on November 17, 2012 at Toronto East General Hospital. Born January 15, 1923 in Toronto, is predeceased by her parents, William Joseph Hoare and Agnes Elizabeth (Simpson) Hoare, her brother Bill Hoare, husband, Bob Reed and beloved daughter, Nora Reed. Olga is survived by her loving sons, Bill of Toronto, Alex and daughter-in-law, Shirley of Calgary, granddaughter Joscelyn Elizabeth of Smithers, BC, grandsons Adam of Prince George, BC, Eric, Joshua, Jared of Calgary and their respective families, Nicholas and Jonathon of Toronto, five great-grandchildren Keegan, Tosh, Toan, Abbygale and Kaelan as well as her dear, lifelong friend Kay (Betty) Bonner. Olga was a dedicated educator, passionate champion of civil rights, a defender of justice and all mankind. Olga cared deeply for all those she came in contact with. A generous host and devoted mother, who sacrificed so much for her children and others. Remembered as the teacher who made a difference at Danforth Tech High School; actively involved in the CCF/NDP, the Ontario Teachers' Federation and a member of Kew Beach United Church. Family and friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND TRIBUTE CENTRE, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-698-2861, on November 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on November 22nd at 11 a.m. In memory of Olga, donations can be made to the
