JOHN ALLEN GRIFFIN Suddenly on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in his 95th year. He was born July 31, 1918 in Toronto. Son of the late Stanley Allen Griffin and Elizabeth Jane Joyce. John, beloved husband of Hughette Voyer Griffin for 36 years. Loving father of Jacey Ann (Francis Culham) of Lindsay, Ontario and Susan Jane of Comox, British Columbia. Dear step-father of Alain Lévesque of Richmond Hill, Ontario and Louise Lévesque of Montreal, Québec. Brother of Jean Phillips of Ottawa and June Belcher of Markham. Predeceased by sisters May, Betty, Margaret and brother Donald. Uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was a veteran of World War II serving from 1941 to 1945 in Canada, England, Belgium and Holland and a member of the 30th Battery, 7th Toronto Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery. John was the Past President of the York Central Hospital Board, Past President of the Toronto Home Builders Association, Co-Founder of the Toronto Home Show and a longtime member of Thornhill Golf and Country Club. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 6th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Condolences
