ROD BROOK March 6, 1935 - November 29, 2012 Joseph Roderick Brook passed away peacefully at Toronto East General Hospital on Thursday, November 29, 2012. Rod will be sorely missed by his beloved wife Aggie, his children Christopher (Maureen), Melissa Geer (recently deceased Ken), Augusta (Richard Picton), Jesse and Max; his grandchildren Philip and Brook Geer; his brothers Paul (Gloria) and Peter (Ann); mother-in-law Maria Lebovits; brother-in-law Harold Lebovits (Jo-ann); many nieces and nephews and their children and many more extended family and friends. Rod was a graduate of OCA, art director at major international advertising agencies, co-owner of Compack Productions. He was a well respected and very knowledgeable pioneer in the Canadian antique circuit as a collector and dealer. He had a wide variety of interests from art and design to the history of antiques to baseball as well as being a lover of the outdoors, canoeing and sailing. He was full of adventure and constantly on the move. Always made friends of the neighbourhood cats and all dogs which he affectionately called Spot. He approached everything with humour - he was the sunshine in our lives. If desired, donations can be made in the name of Rod Brook to the Pulmonary Rehab Clinic, Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation. Please call 416-340-4430. A celebration of Rod's life will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 1-4 p.m. at Betty's, 240 King St. East, Toronto. All friends and family of Rod welcome.
