ROWLAND, John David - After a valiant struggle with cancer, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of John David Rowland in his 87th year with his family at his side on December 10, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Joan Marie Dart. Loving father of Karen (Bill), David (Sari) and Stephen (Patti). Proud grandpa of his eleven grandchildren. Brother of Frank (Jeff), Bernice (Bill) and the late Jim (Hazel), Peter (Audrey), Bert (Ven) and Bill (Ann). Brother-in-law of Betty (the late Ray), Nancy (the late Steve) and the late Margaret (John). Relatives and friends may call at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE, 275 Lesmill Rd., Toronto (east off Leslie St., south of Hwy. 401, 416-441-1580) on Thursday, December 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will take place on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11 o'clock in the Chapel.
