BROWN, Anna Marie (nee Toal) - May 27, 1918 - December 15, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Anna at the Toronto Western Hospital in her 94th year. Anna is reunited in heaven with her cherished husband Lionel, dear parents James and Eleanor Toal (nee Maguire) and loving brothers Edward and Tommy Toal. Devoted mother of Alan and Angela. She will be deeply missed by her sister- in-law Josephine Toal and family in England and Ireland. Anna will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Anna Marie Brown was born in Smithboro, Ireland in 1918. She later moved to England where she trained and worked as a nurse. After the Second World War, she immigrated to Canada and in the early 1950s settled in Toronto where she met her husband Lionel. Anna has been a dedicated Catholic all her life and enjoyed listening to Irish ballads. She is best remembered for her great kindness. Friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Homes "Bathurst Chapel" (366 Bathurst Street, just north of Dundas Street) on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral Service will commence at 1 p.m. Interment in St. John's Norway Cemetery (256 Kingston Road) to follow.
