WALKER, Alex Edward - Passed away peacefully in Burlington on December 14, 2012 at the age of 87. Predeceased by his wife Betty (2001), they are now reunited and can once again take their long walks together. Ed will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, his friends and of course his many pet dogs which he and Betty had over the years. Ed was a proud member of the Carpenters Union and was a trooper in the Canadian Army during WWII. Ed will be remembered and missed by his many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the team at the Brant Centre who took such great care of Ed over these past few years. In honouring Ed's wishes there will be no service and cremation has taken place. May the sun be on your face and the wind at your back... Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home, Burlington, 905-632-3333.
