He lived a full life characterized by integrity, generosity, bravery, hard work, fun and adventure. He was always there to give wise fatherly advice and support and will be remembered as being a jack of all trades who was always available to give a helping hand to neighbours, friends and family. A great gentleman who never raised his voice, tranquil and serene at all times. Ray was born and grew up in Mt. Dennis, Ontario. The son of Florence and David Boocock. He enlisted and served in the Canadian Air Force during World War ll. While stationed in Cape Breton in 1943 he met and married Mayme (Mary Rose) the love of his life. He returned from the war to resume working for Borough of York Hydro in the meter department where over the next 42 years he rose to Meter Superintendent. He retired in 1981. In his lengthy retirement he enjoyed golf, lawn bowling, and making stained glass windows and ornaments. He lived with his family in Etobicoke for over 50 years. Ray is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mayme, his daughter, Beverly and his son Ronald; their spouses, Glen and Suzanne and six grandchildren Adam, Sabrina. Courtney, Sean, David and D'Artagnan. He will be missed by many. The family wishes to thank the staff of Resthaven for the compassionate care they provided Raymond.
