ATIS (ART) KIMENS It is with great sadness that the family of Atis (Art) Kimens announce his passing at home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the age of 73. As in life, Art demonstrated courage and resolve in his final hours. Atis is survived by his loving wife Diane; his 5 children: Andrew, Jason, Ryan, Melanie and Erik; his 7 grandchildren: Bryanna, Regan, Kathleen, Rowan, Logan, Khloe, Charlotte; his 3 daughters-in-law Michelle, Marie Josee, Kelly and his 2 brothers Gunar and Vidars and also predeceased by his wife Mary Catherine. Art was known for his generosity and his zest for life. Family was his priority and will continue to be his legacy. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, ON (Woodbine, north of Hwy. 7), on Thursday, January 17th from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, January 18th from 2 to 4:30 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Precious Blood Church, 1737 Lawrence Avenue E., Scarborough (Lawrence/Victoria Park), on Saturday, January 19th at 10 a.m. Burial and reception to follow. Special thank you to Southlake Hospital and the Cardiac Team. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be made at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
