REV. BARBARA JOAN WEATHERALL (nee ROSSER) Barbara passed away the evening of February 12, 2013 at her daughter Alison's home, in her 80th year, after a brief illness, surrounded by family in Milton, ON. Wife to beloved husband Syd and mother to Douglas Bowman (Helen), Andrea Bauman and Alison Adams (Mikhael); step-mother to Leslie Poleshni (Tom) and Martin Weatherall (Cathy); grandmother to Kate, Harrison and Alex to whom she inspired courage, wisdom and laughter; step-grandmother to Renny Chambers (George), Ryan Duquette (Monique), Steven Bond (Alison); step-great- grandmother to Nathan, Avery and Lia. She is predeceased by her first husband Stanley Douglas Bowman, October 4, 2001. Ordained by the Lutheran Evangelical Church, she served as Pastor at St. Matthew's Church in Kitchener-Waterloo from 1986 to 1998 and she will now rest in peace in the hands of God. An avid reader with a lifelong commitment to learning, she was beloved by many during her years of ministry, as well as in the Milton Community where she spent her retirement years close to family and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at the MCKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME, 114 Main St. E., Milton, 905-878-4452, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 54 Benton Street, Kitchener on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to The Eastern Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, 74 Weber St. W., Kitchener, ON N2H 3Z3 would be appreciated.
