MCHUGH, William (Bill) - Bill gently slipped away peacefully at home, during the early morning of February 12, 2013 with his devoted wife Wendy faithfully by his side. Loving father of Jill (Steven), Jodi (Mike) and Tim (Attie). Proud grandfather of Sarah, Melissa, Aidan, Fionn and Johnny. Predeceased by his first wife of 27 years, Catherine (nee Elliott). Loving brother of Edward (Pauline) and predeceased by brothers John (June) and Stan (June). Caring uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Bill proudly served his country for 40 years. At the age of 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. After 5 years of service he joined the Department of National Defense (DND) and worked on the Avro Arrow. From there he was seconded to, then hired by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) until 1984, when he became one of the original members of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Bill was a kind considerate, accepting and affable man, with not a judgmental bone in his body. Always well known as an unwavering enthusiast of the Boston Bruins, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. The family forwards their gratitude to Dr. Nell Thomas for her care and compassion.
