KANARY, Marie-Antoinette "Maureen" - Born November 5, 1944 in New Carlisle, Quebec, Maureen lost her long and noble fight with cancer on February 18, 2013 at 11:30 p.m. surrounded by family at the wonderful MCNally House in Grimsby, Ontario. She is survived by her husband John, two sons Robert (wife Linda and children Katerina and David) and Richard (wife Kristin and children Seriph, Jackson and Lily) and a multitude of loving friends and family members who are all incredibly grateful to have been touched by her warm love, courageous presence and generous nature. The family would like to thank the palliative care team at the MCNally House for their inspired service in making Maureen's last days comfortable and positive, Bob Gaudet for a beautiful blessing and anyone and everyone who made her life even more beautiful and exemplary. There will be a visitation at MCKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street E., Milton, 905-878-4452, on Friday, February 22nd, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Charitable donations on Maureen's behalf to Cancer Awareness or the MCNally House are greatly appreciated.
