MCILROY, Madeline Ruth (nee Marlow) - Passed away peacefully with Judi at her side on February 27, 2013 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital at the age of 101. Predeceased by her much loved husband Oscar on February 27, 2001. Survived by her daughters Judith (Gail Pimm) and Susan (Al Laberge). Will be greatly missed by her three granddaughters and their families, Cheryl (Trevor Parker), Jane (Jason Brass), Sandra (Grant Drygas). Guardian angel to her six great-grandchildren Austin, Madeline, Darien, Annalea, Aurora and Elliott. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Madeline served her country as a WREN in Halifax where she met Oscar and made life-long friends. The memories she has left with close friends in Willowdale will be treasured by Eleanor Clarke, Anne Cotton and neighbours over the years. Her presence will always be felt at the cottage on Canal Lake. The family would like to thank Madeline's friends and caregivers at Butternut Manor, Uxbridge for their loving care and friendship over the last five years. Friends may call on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at R.S.
