ANNA MARGUERITE BRADBURY 1920 - 2013 On April 5, 2013, Marguerite gently slipped away to join her beloved husband Tom, daughter Liz, granddaughter Suzie, brother Thornton and many friends who went before her. Marguerite and Tom raised six daughters: Evelyn Kirijewski (Wally), Mary Patricia, Suzanne Swan (Brian Davidson), Joan MACNaughton (Gord), Catherine and Elizabeth. She found much joy in her grandchildren: Christine, Theresa, Suzie, Laura, Katy, Brendan, Michael, Thomas, Nicole and Jesse and in being a special grandmother to Marianne and Miko. Her great- grandchildren Victoria, Ashley, Jessica, Sarah and Ella will so miss visiting with Great-Gran. Marguerite's early life was touched by the Great Depression and Second World War. These experiences may have shaped the courage, dignity and ever present humour with which she faced many years of respiratory illness . Throughout her life she continued to diligently follow the news and entertain the many friends she and Tom made over their years. She never failed to support charities that helped others and was very proud to be appointed a Lady of the Holy Sepulcher in recognition of the generosity and compassion she and Tom shared. Marguerite was a lifelong resident of the Beach. With the support of family and caregivers, she realized her wish to always remain in her own home. She and Tom loved to travel, often with friends and family. Her favourite place to be was the family cottage on the Severn River, where she spent each summer for 62 years. The day before her death, Marguerite said that her greatest pride was the family she had raised. Family and friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND TRIBUTE CENTRE, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-698-2861, on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Rd., on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. In recognition of the remarkable care provided to Marguerite in her last hours, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Michael's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
