George HUNTER Obituary

HUNTER, George Alexander - George Hunter, one of Canada's foremost photographers, passed away peacefully with family by his side, at Credit Valley Hospital on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. He was 91 years old. He will be lovingly missed by his lifelong love, Patricia Stevenson. Predeceased by his sister, Louise P. MCLarty (Fred) he will be loving remembered by his sister Hazel V. Kyle of Vancouver. He leaves behind nephews James McLarty (Judy), Douglas McLarty (Lucia), Gordon Kyle (Sandra), Davis Kyle (Sandy), Warren Kyle (Michaela), Byron Kyle (Pat) and first cousins David Hunter (Sandra) and Sylvia Hunter. Special thanks to his live-in caregiver Lovette Keating for her unending devotion. George will also be greatly missed by his many great-nieces and great- nephews, and his good friends and colleagues. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Heritage Photography Foundation, 3236 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga, ON L5L 1J4. A memorial reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas Street E., Mississauga, ON.
