JACK WILLIAM ROBERTS

JACK WILLIAM ROBERTS, FSA, FCIA Passed away peacefully in Toronto on April 14, 2013 in his 83rd year. Loving husband to Norma. Beloved father to Linda Beatty, Curt Roberts and his wife Patricia. Dear Grandpa to Jennifer, Jason, Sean and Kiera. Survived by his sister Norma. Jack was a terrific athlete, his love of football started as a player of the Vaughan Road Collegiate Team with a Championship. Jack continued his football career playing on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Football Team winning another Championship in 1951. To complete Jack's career, he was a player on the 1952 Grey Cup Champions, Toronto Argonauts. Jack was also proud of his profession as an actuary, and he rose through the ranks of Crown Life Insurance to the position of Vice-President and Director of Group Insurance. He later moved to Canadian General Life Insurance Company, where he was President. Jack semi-retired and was a consultant for Global Benefits. He enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and spending time at the cottage on Lake Rosseau. Jack will be forever missed by his many, many, family and friends. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
