ANNE-MARIE MCKEOWN (ELLIOTT), RN McKEOWN, Olive Anne-Marie. In Ottawa on Monday, April 29, 2013, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Hubert (Hugh) McKeown. Predeceased by her father Achille Gareau, mother Olive Godin, step-father Roy Elliott and siblings Lorrain, Dan (Edna), Cora Kenny (Clancy) and Dutch (Joan) (Stella). Anne-Marie was born in 1920 in North Bay, Ontario. She graduated from St. Michael's School of Nursing (Toronto) in 1942 and then worked at South Porcupine General Hospital (Timmins). After completing a diploma in public health nursing at the University of Toronto, she worked in Toronto as a St. Elizabeth Visiting Nurse. In 1949, after a whirlwind romance, she married the love of her life, Hugh McKeown. They settled in Ottawa where they raised a family. She is survived by her children Pat (Greg Pollock) in Toronto, Beth (Moe Coll) in Vancouver, Jim (Sharon Lalonde) and Michael in Ottawa, and her grandchildren, Kate and Daniel Schatzky and David and John Lalonde. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, 100 Main Street, Ottawa, on Saturday 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Notre-Dame Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Extendicare Medex. In memoriam donations to The Hospice at May Court would be appreciated.
