Dear Bambi and family, Please accept my heart felt condolences. Like many other broadcasters who passed through the CKTB hallways, I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Doug. His heh, heh, heh, chuckle became a radio trademark of his that we would all affectionately mimic. Yes, he was very much a part of the City's fabric from behind the microphone and on the sports fields of the region.

I had the joy of having Doug in my classes at Riverdale Collegiate. He was super. He added so very much to the reunions of "the 60's". I have great memories of him as a student, Cathy Drake MacPhie

Doug was a childhood friend, and I shared many happy times with him and his family from kindergarten to Gr. 5.
when our family moved from the neighborhood. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife, family and sister, Ginny. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
