ZAWILSKI, Katherine Sarah (née Watt) - Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Castleview Wychwood Towers at the age of 90. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 14, 1923. Married to the late Witold Wincenty Zawilski. Beloved mother of Rosalie (David) Graham, Richard Zawilski, Dr. Valerie Zawilski (Richard Kowalski) and Stephen Zawilski. Proud grandmother of Christopher (Amy), James (Lyndsay), Virginia, Janina and great-grandmother of Avvigail. Longstanding member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and United Empire Loyalists. Friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne St. (south of Wellesley). Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, August 24th at 11 o'clock at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 78 Clifton Rd. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Condolences - www.rosar-morrison.com

My deepest sympathy to Rosalie, Richard, Valerie and Stephen. My memories of your mother are mostly as a young women when she visited us in Halifax. I was a child admiring this stylish pretty woman who came to visit. Through the years I visited in Toronto a few times and she was always so glad to see a long lost relative. I know you will miss her but remember the happy time and the legacy of family I am sure she has left you. My husband joins me in our condolences.

She was always so happy just to have your company and someone who would listen to her stories. Nothing mattered more to her than that simple visit with her children / grandchildren -- a quality that is extremely rare in today's world. She was an incredible grandmother and will be deeply missed.
