James Ross TRAYES

TRAYES, James Ross (VE3 FMT) - Jim died peacefully on November 29, 2013 at the age of 85. He was the loving husband of June (nee Pike) for 58 years and proud father of John (Sue), Ann (Bryan Meadwell), and Paul (Amy). Grandfather of Derek, Daniel, B.J., Sara, Steven, Matthew, Douglas, Kate and Erin; great-grandfather of Liam. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Ross Trayes of Hamilton, and is survived by his sisters, Betty MacHattie, Peggy Butler and Mary Jean Locock. Jim was an active parishioner at All Saints' Kingsway Anglican Church. Jim had a rewarding career with Ontario Hydro spanning 37 years. He enjoyed his workshop and hobby of amateur radio involving many ham friends and was a member of QCWA, Metro and Skywide radio clubs. A Memorial Service will take place at All Saints' Kingsway Anglican Church, 2850 Bloor St. W. (corner of Bloor St. and Prince Edward Dr., Toronto) on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. At a later date, interment will take place at Torrance Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. The family also wishes to encourage friends to become blood and organ donors.
