DR. OLEH ALEXANDER TROJAN On Sunday, May 11, 2014, Dr. Oleh Alexander Trojan lost his three year battle with cancer. He was 77 years old. He graduated from the first class of nuclear engineers at the University of Toronto in 1958, where he completed his Master of Nuclear Medicine in 1960 and a PhD in Nuclear Physics in 1966. In 1964, he was hired by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited where for 25 years he held positions of Nuclear Physicist and Manager of Reactor Physics. He also taught graduate students as Professor in the Department of Engineering Physics at McMaster University. Beloved husband of Anna for 50 years. Loving father of Max and his wife Joanna; granddaughters Roxolyana, Sophia and Marianna; and daughter Lada and her husband Richard Vedlin; grandchildren Maia, Adrian and Alexander. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), on Wednesday from 2 - 4 p.m., followed by Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 406 Bathurst St., Toronto. Funeral Service will be held at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 10 a.m., followed by interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Friends of Ukraine Defence Forces" (FUDF) Fund at any Buduchnist Credit Union branch (Account No. 68139).
