We knew him in myth,
We knew him in whispers.
Never real to us; a spirit stuck between the pages.
Hands ink-stained and calloused with the caress of fiction,
Neither man nor Superman,
Just a witness to whispers,
Voyeur to the quiet action of colour and motion
And the happiness brought by his light.

I have been a customer of Robert's for many years. I have always appreciated his kindness and good humour. Our family sends condolences and best wishes to all of Robert's family and friends. He will be missed.

I've known Rob since 1996 and I've seen him in his store nearly every week since.
We passed a lot of time in conversation about comics, business and Life. He was a rare and generous man. I hope he knew how many friends he had. We miss him.

Rob always treated my daughter wonderfully when we'd come into Comics and More. Though not yet four, he would joke with her and talk about the things she loved (usually My Little Pony). I hope he knew how beloved and appreciated he was by everyone who visited him. Rest in peace, Rob.

Rob always had a friendly nod and greeting when ever I went to his shop. He had a passion for his work and a willingness to share it with others. He will be missed.

My name is Sheri Mclean I used to live in Toronto, I knew bob for over 20 years My daughter use to work for him at his comic shop and I loved him dearly. He was the most kind and sincere person one could come to know and their will be a void in the world without him in it. May he rest now in peace .

Rob I will miss you my friend. All those years at the comic shop, all those years talking about comics, movies, life, everything. I am really at a loss for words, I wish your family and friends all the best through this difficult time and will always remember you as the man you were, the friend you were, and the person you inspired us all to be.
