Charlie and Elsie Abel were dear friends of my Mom and Dad(Howard and Joan Brady) and great friends of the family in Lorne Park. Great memories of times at their house as well as cottage. They were always so generous and were "second parents" to me.
I wanted to start a lawn cutting business when in high school and Charlie bought me a lawnmower to start my first business and have been starting and running business's ever since thanks to Charlie.
The world will miss him

Thank you Mr. Abel for your knowledge of everything and if you did not know the answer, you found it out really quickly. Thank you for allowing us into the Abel life. Wonderful Etobicoke Masters Swimming Club parties and kindness from our hosts at the Twin Lakes cottage. Will not forget.

Uncle Charlie was a true gentleman. He always took the time to listen and ask what we were up to in our lives. Such an interesting man to spend time with. So many memories ? Love to all.

Twin Lakes has lost a legend. Big good bye man hugs Charlie. Will always remember the stories you shared with us on Thanksgiving, and the warmth you always extended to our family over many years. I hope wherever you are they have some eavestroughs to clean, and things to paint, so you can keep busy.
