SHERK, Marie Joyce (nee Thompson) - Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on January 12, 2015 in her 88th year. Loving wife of the late Carl Sherk. Dear mother of David Sherk (Irene) of Arnprior, Deborah Graham (Mike) of Toronto, Michael Sherk of Kanata and James Sherk (Sheila York) of Kingston. Cherished grandmother of Trevor and Connor. Fondly remembered by her sister Helen Falon (Clayton) of Amherstview. Predeceased by her sisters Jean Lines and Juanita Malanuk and brother Glen Thompson. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Road, Kingston) on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 9 - 11 a.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sue Paterson of St. Andrew's By-The-Lake United Church officiating. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. Mrs. Marie was my children's adopted grandma. She was beloved, part of their lives. She was already greatly missed from our neighbourhood, when she moved. She is missed even more, but we celebrate, as she is with Jesus and has no more pain. It was a blessing that we had her in our lives.
