SILVERMAN, Larry - Peacefully in his 85th year and in the presence of his family on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at North York General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Myrna Silverman (Greenberg) and best friend and companion of Betty Shannon. Loving father and father-in-law to Carol and Lori and David. Devoted and much adored grandfather to Jayme, Cory and Jesse. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and compassionate Critical Care Team and North York General Hospital's ICU. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Community Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery. Shiva will be observed privately. I am so sad at the passing of a someone who was my friend for almost 50 years. Larry was my father's best friend and a dear friend to me and my whole family. Dad and Larry and I came together under the oddest of circumstances... a love for Magic. We met at the Society of Canadian Magicians where Larry and my Dad bonded and the two of them put up with me, a mouthy but bright 12 year old wannabe magician. We made an odd trio and my memories of those times are amongst my most, forgive me, magical. This hit dad pretty hard and we will all miss him dearly. All my love to Carol, David and family and friends. I will hug my Dad even harder next time I see him.
