A belated message for friends of Wendy Coburn. I worked with her briefly in 2013, for one of her exhibitions at the University of Lethbridge. For a week I would pick her up from her hotel, early in the morning...to the cafe for a quick breakfast...and we'd almost always run into the campus deer 'squad' as we walked to the Gallery. Wendy was always astounded by how relaxed the deer were as we passed nearby...and she clearly loved them. Now, when I run into them, I am always reminded of Wendy's wonderful spirit, and her genuine fondness for these gentle creatures. She was a bright, smart, and deeply intelligent artist...and coffee buddy.

My deepest condolences to all of Wendy's family. I know that she is greatly missed and her loss is deeply felt by so many. I had the honour to work as a colleague, representing her video artworks and sharing with her a love of music. Wendy was a supporter and a great person to be around, intelligent and with a humour that was contagious. I will miss her.

Wendy is a warm hearted colleague and friend who I will miss. Her spirit lives on in the fond memories I hold and in her art works that covey her humor, humanity, inquisitiveness and integrity. She is gone too soon but not before making a difference and an impact.
