GLEN WIDEMAN Obituary

GLEN ALFRED DAVID WIDEMAN December 24, 1930 - April 12, 2016 With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Glen on Tuesday afternoon at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Beloved husband of almost 62 years to Jean Wideman (nee Rae). Loving father to Jim (Kim), Glenda (Wayne) Kerr, Mary Ann (Richard) Yeomans, Larry deceased 1962, Bonnie (Donald) Lofthouse, Velvet deceased 2012 (Michael and Deborah) Brownlee, Heather (Paul) Robertson, Lee (Karen) and Alexa (Jay) Fretz. Cherished grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Glen is survived by his brother Harold Wideman, brother-in-law to Dale Rae, Harry and Janice Rae and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Earl and Grace Wideman, Dorothy Wideman, Garnet Rae, Reta and Douwe de Boer and Ivan Rae. Son of the late Isidor and Ella Wideman. Visitation will be held on Friday April 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 2 p.m. at EASTRIDGE Evangelical Missionary Church (12485 Tenth Line, Stouffville) with visitation prior from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment following service at HEISE HILL Cemetery (11760 Woodbine Avenue, Gormley) and reception at Heise Hill BIC Church. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Camp Kahquah, Niagara Christian Collegiate or Heise Hill BIC Church (Refugee Program) would be appreciated.
