Kathryn rented me a room when I first moved to Toronto in 1987. After I moved out we kept in touch. I learnt so much from Kathryn and I looked up to her like a mentor. When I moved back to Australia we kept in touch for many years by mail then email. I lost touch and decided to look her up and unfortunately came across this obituary. Rest In Peace sweet Kathryn I have thought of you many times over the years and all that you taught me about life. Miss you Julie

Kathy was warm and generous, and played a significant role in my life ... It was good to have her in the world, and I'm sad that she is gone. She was remarkable in her peacefulness and courage

She was a wonderful friend and someone that touched so many. I won't ever forget her kindness, her tenacity and her adventurous spirit.
