Kathy and Maurice separated, but remained lifelong friends. Kathy worked as a Librarian with the Toronto Public Library. Her most cherished specialization was film. She also contributed to her CUPE union local's efforts throughout her career. Kathy was a remarkably warm and caring person, a connecting force among many diverse social groups which she joined through her work, her interest in astrology and new age ideas, her passion for travel, music, her openness for adventure and her connection with family and friends from childhood. Kathy was a remarkably warm and caring person, always learning, always seeking new ways to enjoy life in the company of friends and family. She is very loved and will be missed. Kathryn rented me a room when I first moved to Toronto in 1987. After I moved out we kept in touch. I learnt so much from Kathryn and I looked up to her like a mentor. When I moved back to Australia we kept in touch for many years by mail then email. I lost touch and decided to look her up and unfortunately came across this obituary. Rest In Peace sweet Kathryn I have thought of you many times over the years and all that you taught me about life. Miss you Julie
