Please accept my heartfelt sympathy; I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the broken-hearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this difficult time. Isaiah 61:1,2.

The Very Rev. Dr. Sang Chul Lee inspired me throughout my ministry especially in the time he shared team ministry in Richmond Hill United Church, and and throughout his leadership in subsequent years. I will always treasure a moment in 1992 when I walked up to receive a D.Min degree. I was very nervous and there he was as Chancellor on the podium giving me a great big hug. I wish to all the family that same hug of comfort, caring and gratitude for his life.

On behalf of the congregation of Aurora United Church we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Shin Jah, Irene Chungwha, Grace Chungson and their families as you mourn the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Sang Chul. We will hold you in prayer during this difficult time. On a personal note, we were young ministers in 1988 and respected Sang Chul Lee as our Moderator. We valued his wisdom, patience and words of peace as we journeyed through a difficult time in the life of our United Church of Canada. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
