DOWKES, John (Jack) Wilfred McKay March 26, 1915 – August 11, 2017 Passed away in Toronto at age 102. Predeceased by his wife, Isabelle, Jack is survived by his children, Marilyn Gillespie (Don), Jeanette King (Jim), John Dowkes (Susan) and Robert Dowkes (Colleen), and nephew Bill Dowkes. He was enormously proud of his 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Jack was quick-witted, determined and a Blue Jays fan to the end. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Susan MacAndrew for her unwavering kindness and support that made it possible for Jack to remain in his home to the age of 102. We invite friends of Jack to a funeral service at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue), on Thursday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery.
