JOSEPH JOHN PEROZAK
June 10th, 1922 - January 1st, 2013
It is with sadness that the family announces that the death of Joseph John Perozak occurred at Oliver Lodge on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Joseph is survived by his wife Rose and by his sister Irene Ondrus, brothers John Perozak and Ron Perozak and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Steve Perozak and Frank Perozak. Joseph was born in Slovakia on June 10th, 1922 and immigrated to Canada with his father John and stepmother Mary in 1928, Joseph received his education in Blairmore, Alberta. He worked as a coal miner as well as in the warehouse at the Nanimo airport and in Caretaking for 22 years at the university of Saskatchewan. He served in WWII as a private. He and Rose were married on October 30th, 1957 and they made Saskatoon their home. Joe and Rose were active members of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and Joe was a loyal member to the Knights of Columbus. Rose and Joe enjoyed coffee at Robins and working bingo's for the Knights of Columbus.
Some of Joe's favorite pastimes included pool and yard work.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Parish on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery and a reception at the church. Condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com.
