It breaks our hearts to announce the death of our beloved Justine Marie Potratz on November 2, 2012 at the age of 29 years. She will be forever loved and missed by her parents Carolyn and Daryl; sister Natalie; grandmother Florence Jackson; aunts and uncles Marlene (John) McComber, Connie (Stewart) Murphy, Barbara Jackson and David Jackson; as well as many cousins.
Justine was born on November 1, 1983 in Rosetown, SK where she grew up and attended school. Her and her best friend, sister Natalie, spent an idyllic childhood on the farm raising chickens, catching frogs, tobogganing, hiking and, in their high school years, having bon-fire parties with friends. Spending time at the farm or the lake with her grandparents were wonderful, treasured moments. The family will forever cherish the fun times spent at get togethers and gatherings. Justine was passionate about the outdoors, becoming a proficient snowboarder and instructor. She graduated from the University of Calgary, College of Nursing in 2006 with a Bachelor of Nursing and worked in psychiatric services in Medicine Hat and Edmonton, AB until her passing.
She was compassionate and caring; putting others needs ahead of her own; a loyal, loving friend always seeking out the good in everyone.
A Memorial Service for Justine will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr, Saskatoon, 955-1600), with Jan Coffey-Olson officiating. Donations in Justine's memory would be
gratefully accepted by the Rosetown and District Health Center Foundation (Box 908, Rosetown, SK S0L 2V0).
