Marvin STEFFEN

STEFFEN, Dr. Marvin J. DMD
October 19, 1942 - November 13, 2012
Marvin passed away after a sudden illness, with his daughters by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Colleen (nee Morphy), parents John and Hulda Steffen (nee Gunderson), sister Marilyn, Mother-in- law Irene Morphy, and numerous aunts uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his daughters Sheila (Bart) and Kali (Kevin), grandson Adon; brother Glen (Patricia); Father-in-law Carl Morphy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Marvin was raised in the Mont Nebo area attending school in Mont Nebo and Shell Lake. He attended Teacher's College in Saskatoon and taught at Smiley, Leask and Whitefish Reserve. During his teaching years he met Colleen, a fellow teacher, and they married in 1963.
Marvin and Colleen later returned to Saskatoon in order for Marvin to attend the University of Saskatchewan to earn his degree in Dentistry. When he first started practising, Colleen joined him as office manager. His last dental office was at Five Corners on Broadway in Saskatoon.
Marvin and Colleen retired to McKenna, WA where they lived until their passing.
A memorial service will be held in McKenna WA. Private interment at a later date in Saskatoon.
