William STEFANIUK

WILLIAM STEFANIUK
William, of Prud'homme, passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on Monday, March 11th, 2013 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by Anne (mother of Robert, Brian and Bernice); and long time companion, Sophie Tompolski (mother of Andy, Audrey and Glenn); granddaughter, Tina Veri and grandson, Curtis Holland. Bill was born in the Prud'homme district and left home at a very early age to work in the forestry industry in British Columbia. He eventually earned his trade certificate in carpentry and worked in the construction industry for most of his life. He was proud to help construct major projects such as the Gardiner Dam and a number of Potash Mines. In the early 70's he decided to purchase the family farm where he farmed until his death. Bill is survived by his daughters, Bernice and Audrey (Lyle); sons, Robert (Ruth), Brian (Maggie), Glenn (Debbie); stepson, Andy (Donna) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th, at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street (corner of 8th Avenue N and Windsor Street). Following lunch, interment will take place at St. Mary's Independent Cemetery, Prud'homme District, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
