Henry Patrick Mahoney
MISSION, TX - Always known as "Dan", Henry Patrick Mahoney led an extraordinary life. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on February 19, 1935, Mr. Mahoney is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Poole Mahoney and his father, Daniel Joseph Mahoney.
Mr. Mahoney is survived by his wife, Susan, of Mission, TX; and three children: Michael Mahoney, of Portland, OR; Kevin Mahoney (Ellen) of Boulder, CO; and Brenda Mahoney of Chicago, IL; his three grandchildren: Erika, Drew, and Jackson.
Mr. Mahoney was a '53 graduate of Nutana Collegiate in Saskatoon, where he played center for their championship football team, the Blues. He continued his football career as a center and defensive linebacker for the championship-dominating Hilltops. He attended St. Thomas More College.
Throughout his entire life he specialized in the high-tech computer industry. A highlight of his career was working for the St. Louis, MO police force where he designed a highly effective law enforcement computer system, which was praised by Britain's Scotland Yard. His was the Director of IT for the American College of Physicians in Philadelphia, and later the President of Computer Professionals, Inc., in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
He loved boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, traveling throughout Europe, Ireland, Canada and the USA, and was an avid supporter of the Rio Grande Killer Bees Hockey Team.
