Our condolences from the Pryor Family. We go way back to when the Gordon and Pryor families were close friends and neighbors at Marsden. Unfortunately as time passed, people moved, and some passed on we have pretty much lost contact over the years. We remember Bruce and siblings as very young, and Sharon sort of herding (babysitting) them. It is very evident that Bruce was a fine young man who earned the respect of many people, and was taken far too young.
Len and Sharon Pryor Marshall, Sk.

I had the honour of getting to know Bruce when we were members of the same Jasper-Banff Relay team for a couple of years. In the middle of the night, sitting in a vehicle for hours waiting for your leg of the relay to start, there was a lot of time to talk about many things. The conversations Bruce and I had focused on our favorite things, as we both knew we were blessed with our respective families being married to incredible ladies (Bruce to Chris, and I to Grace) and so blessed as well with the children who are the best parts of us, and so much more. Those conversations were and always will be cherished memories.
Bruce's special spirit will continue on in all of us who were so fortunate to have known him, and to Chris and Family, thank you for sharing Bruce with us.

I am at a loss for words. I know there is nothing for me to say that will make your loss easier but know that we are sending you our love and support. I hope you can understand what I can't put into words. I have spent many moments reminiscing about Bruce and the Gordon and Edwards families and will always cherish the times we had together back in Marsden.

I met Bruce when I started working as an investigator at the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission. He was friendly and welcoming from the beginning, and invited me to sit in on a witness interview he was doing so that I could get experience. He was professional and thorough, so clearly skilled at what he was doing, but always genuine and relatable. He told me that he approached every file as if it would end up in court one day with him having to answer to every decision he made during an investigation.
I would get to work in the morning frazzled and Bruce would tell me what he'd already accomplished that day: a bike ride, his class readings, a few hours of work. If I was carrying a coffee cup from McDonald's I could always expect a bit of a teasing hard time.
When Bruce moved on from our office, he told me to keep in touch and to let him know if I was ever performing in more musicals. He said that it was a world that he knew nothing about but that he wanted to take Chris to more of those kinds of things. When he would come back to visit, he would stop in to my office and plop down in the chair, smiling and saying, Hi friend, what's new?
I will remember Bruce's incredible drive, his good nature, and his endless encouragement. I am grateful to have known him, and I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Wishing your family comfort in this difficult time. Grew up on the farm 4 Miles north of my Gordon cousins. Ran into Bruce in a bike shop two years ago and learned about his accomplishments and his plans for the future. His Mom and Dad would have been so proud of him. Hoping that you find solace in the memories of this special man.

Dear Chris,
I have been lost this last while thinking about Bruce. I can't imagine the heartache that you and your family have been experiencing. I am sending all of you my love from up in the Yukon.
I got to know you and Bruce around the same time as we all entered high school, and before you were together. I had just moved to Saskatoon, and Bruce and Dwayne called me up out of the blue one night for a laugh. And we became friends from that moment on. As a friend, Bruce was extremely loyal, and I know this developed into his strong sense of community. Even from that age, it was clear that Bruce's path was built on courage and a tough self awareness and sense of determination. I thought a lot of him, and was always inspired by his drive. I kept moving until I finally landed in the North. I always knew Bruce was my friend. Even thought the time we got to hang was brief and decades ago, I miss him.
I am sorry that I can't be there with you today on all days. It is my hope that with the sadness you are also able to have some peace. With much love, xo John

My sincere condolences to Chris, Jillian and James.[I am Bruce's cousin ( my mother, Eileen, was Shirley's sister), and Bruce was named after my brother, Bruce Edwardes, who died in 2008.] We hadn't seen each other in many years, but our extended family was close and we always knew what we all were doing! Bruce was a kind and caring man, taken from us too soon and too young. He will be missed and remembered by all of us.

In 2011 Bruce's personal effort in the Sask provincial road Race (cycling) was key to helping a very deserving Bob Hawboldt to win that year. In July 2016 Bruce rode the 165 K Prairie Gran Fondo in just 4:42:32, in the first group of 3 to finish. I still cannot believe you are gone, Bruce, but I feel very fortunate to have known you, and will really miss you. Could you please get some cycling events organized in heaven? Our sincerest sympathy to all of your family.
