Roger PARENT Obituary
July 21, 1953 – November 29, 2016
Roger Parent, beloved husband of Sheila, passed away at Royal University Hospital at the age of 63 years. He was the loving father to Shanaya (Kyle) Klassen and their son, Nash of Saskatoon; Melissa Niessen and her children, Sydney and Alexis of Saskatoon; Jennifer (Travis) Goguen and their daughter, Sophia of Vancouver; and Rebecca (Dustin) Giesbrecht of Edmonton. Roger will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Jerry (Beverly) Parent, Phyllis (Bill) Chadderton, Maurice (Doris) Parent and Claude (Gardy) Parent; as well as extended family Cheryl (Jeff) Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Evelyn; brother, Phillip; and father and mother-in-law, Tony and Tillie Heilman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeview Church, Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan (1, 345-3rd Avenue S, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1M6). We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of Roger. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word and an advocate as an MLA for Meewasin. His voice in the legislature has been silenced but His work continues in the lives of those he blessed. We pray that you will all feel of Gods tender mercies and love.

A lot of Memories of Roger way back on Cumberland Avenue North as a kid. Our Houses were less than a Block apart. I saw him at a Huskie football game and joked You don't got far to go Home. Roger was the only guy see roll a Go Cart. The Go Cart Track was at Cochin They were with us a our House Trailer up there.My Mother and Evelyn were friends. Regards to the famiy. Terry Graham.
