Kolbjorn FRIGGSTAD Obituary
Sept 27 2002 - May 21 2012
After a 2 year battle with brain cancer, Kolbjorn passed away quietly, surrounded by his parents Kirk and Kristen Friggstad, and his sisters, Julianna, Mari, Birgitte, and Annika. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Obert and Connie Friggstad and Sandra Ulven, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide community of friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Outlook. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate his life. More details at kolupdate.blogspot.com . Thank-you to the SCC pediatric oncology staff and the RUH pediatric staff, and a very special thank-you to all who have supported and encouraged our family through this journey. Connie and Obert. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as today you do what you are not supposed to do. Say the farewell to you grandchild. We are trusting God to give you the strength you need as you support your children and grandchildren through this time. It is so difficult to understand why God wouldn't choose to heal a boy with such potential. "He could have remade the pot the way he wanted to rather than go with a pot that had a fault.(sickness)." But we trust His sovereignty when we don't understand and when He seems to do things differently from what we expect or want.
God grant you the encouragement and strength you need for today and the heavy days that are ahead. Adjusting to such a large hole in you family is not going to be very eary. Greet Ulla and Bo and their families from us.

Kirk and Kristen Out thoughts and prayers are with you. We have continue to pray that God would heal Kol but for some unknown reason He has not chosen to do this. Now we have to trust the sovereignty of God. He knows best. Our prayers will continue to support you over the next while as you adjust your life without Kol.l

It's heartbreaking that he has passed away, but how beautiful is it to KNOW that he is restored to perfect health and a vitality that we can only pretend we grasp in our earthly mind. May all of our hearts be mindful of this. It will be great to see him again in the next life.
