SMITH, Stephanie
Stephanie Lee Smith, beloved daughter of Ron and Ann Smith, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 after lengthy illnesses. She is loved and remembered by her brother Steve and was predeceased by sister Shari. Stephanie had 2 beautiful children of whom she was extremely proud. Zachary Adams (Sheena) and Toryn Adams. She loved and appreciated the kindness of Sheena and thankful for the special grandchildren she gave her (Sophia and Jacob). She will be fondly remembered by nieces Jennifer and Anastasia. The profession Stephanie chose was teaching, which she did in Saskatoon, Lethbridge, AB, and Madison, WI. She was also Day Care Director of First Baptist Church for 6 years. She grew up doing a lot of dancing and gravitated to performing with the Gateway Players Group which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also did considerable modeling and voice-over TV work. She was always so grateful for her friends far and near and we will all miss a very special girl. God bless and keep her in His loving arms.
I go and prepare a place for you. - John 14:3

I have such fond memories of Stephanie from our time together at First Baptist. She was a strikingly beautiful person inside and out...such a sweet gentle spirit. You couldnt help but be drawn to her when she entered a room. My heart goes out to Ron, Ann, and family.

Is this the Steph who was Miss Saskatoon? I was her supervisor when she worked that summer at CFQC. What a loss. I am so sorry.

I was at a complete loss when I recently learned of Stephanie's passing. After moving to Victoria, I have held onto, and continue to cherish, many fond memories of joyful moments that included Stephanie. Our formative years were spent singing, dancing and travelling together with the original Solstice group. We created wonderful friendships and Stephanie was one of our loving group. Life passes swiftly but I will always remember "The Way We Were", Stephanie My prayers are for her eternal peace and the comfort of those who carry on without her.

I knew Stephanie from our days at River Heights School and City Park Collegiate (class of '76) and am so saddened to hear of her passing. I remember her beauty and grace, her love of song, dance and acting. She was the first person I ever knew in a band - the Snoopy4! Rest in peace Stephanie and condolences to the family. May your memories give you a measure of comfort.

Ron, Ann and family: I was so sorry to hear that Stephanie had passed away. My condolences to all the family.
I have many fond memories of Stephanie from our church days together, as well as from our times singing together in Jan's Girls, Saskatoon Summer Players and Solstice. We had many wonderful, shared experiences. Stephanie was a kind, caring and gentle soul. I have known few who were willing to work as hard as she did. To Zachary and Toryn: she was so proud of you both.
Be at peace, now, Steph.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of Stephanie's death. She was a classmate who loved to dance and perform and did so from her heart. Her smile and generosity were shared freely with everyone. My condolences to her family. May you cherish happy memories.

It was my great fortune to have spent many hours talking to her in addition to the time I spent on stage with her. She had a unique and charming sense of humour and enormous compassion for the people she knew and met, from the students she taught to the elderly she visited . She also spoke with great pride of her family and friends. May she rest in peace with God's love.
