WILSON, Allan Watson
1939 – 2012
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, brother and friend at Royal University Hospital on July 19th, 2012. Allan was predeceased by his parents, George Wilson and Helen Elder; his sister, Deirdrie Boucher, and his beloved wife, Sharon. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Bevin (Akiko) Wilson of Niigata Japan; daughter, Kimberley Wilson of Meadow Lake; sister, Madeline Wilson of Regina; and family and friends. Al was born in Saskatoon and raised in Dundurn SK. At the age of 19, Al joined the Canadian Armed Forces and married the love of his life, Sharon Prime. Together they travelled with the military through Europe and then came home to Canada to raise a family. Bevin and Kimberley made their family complete. After early retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces Al and Sharon moved the family back to Saskatoon. It is here Al and Sharon enjoyed being with family and working in the community. After Sharon's death in 2005, Al found comfort in his children, his old military buddies, friends and especially his best friend, Kennedy. Al was a friend to anyone who needed a helping hand. Whether it was fixing your computer or your driveway, he was there. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. At Al's request there will be no funeral service. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice or the Canadian Arthritis Society (333-25th St. E., Saskatoon, S7K 0L4).
